เราตื่นมาใต้ดิน ภารกิจคือซ่อมลิฟต์แล้วขึ้นไปให้ได้ แต่ระหว่างนั้นก็ต้องเอาตัวรอดกันไป โดยรวมแล้วเกมคล้ายๆ Core Keeper เลย คืออยู่ใต้ดินอยู่แล้ว กำแพงก็เป็นพวกหินที่เราต้องตีไปเรื่อยๆ เพื่อขยายอาณาเขคหรือสำรวจ มีหลุมมากมายที่เราสามารถสร้างกำแพงข้ามไปได้ มีระบบคราฟของ ปลูกผัก บอส โดยทั่วไปเหมือนกันเลย
จุดแตกต่างคือเกมนี้มีเนื้อเรื่อง มีเควส คุยเยอะพอสมควร (เยอะเกินไปด้วยบางที) แต่ถึงแม้เป็นเกมจีนก็ไม่ได้แปลแย่มาก พอเข้าใจได้ และ Pickaxe ที่ใช้ขว้างเป็น Boomerang ได้ เป็นอาวุธหลักไปเลย
แต่ยังไงก็ตาม ถ้าเทียบกับเกม Core Keeper ที่คนทั่วไปรู้กันว่าทำมาดีมากๆ เกมนี้ยังคงแตกต่างไม่มากพอที่จะสามารถเล่นเอาสนุกได้ และที่สำคัญที่สุดคือ มันไม่มี Multiplayer ซึ่งเอาจริงมันเป็นแกนสำคัญของเกม Core Keeper เลย จะมาเล่นเกมนี้ทำไมถ้ามันเหมือนกันและมันเล่นกับเพื่อนไม่ได้ ?
About the game
Return from Core is a survival sandbox adventure game that throws you into the Inner Earth, a vast underground world within a world. You fled to the Core to survive the catastrophe that destroyed the surface and all civilization as you knew it – but that was only the beginning of your struggle. The Inner Earth is unforgiving, and surviving it will take all your wits, skills, and guts. You’ll need to explore these treacherous caves and tunnels – and make new paths wherever you can’t find one! Maybe one day you will be able to recover the knowledge and technology that was lost… and use it to return to the surface and start a new life. 
Grab your trusty pickaxe and lantern and head to the darkness to dig for minerals and materials. Use them to craft new gear, items for your camp, weapons and much more. Be careful, though – the Inner Earth hides many nasty surprises…

Everybody needs a home to return to – especially explorers trying to survive in the Inner Earth! Build your own camp as a safe haven against the dangers of the Core, and decorate it with your very own hand-made furniture and items!

You are not the only creature alive down here.The Inner Earth is inhabited by all kinds of strange creatures that don’t take lightly any trespassing to their territories. Craft stronger pickaxes, bombs and traps to defeat them and claim rich rewards!

Hunger will be your constant enemy. Plant vegetables, hunt creatures and prepare recipes to fill your stomach. You will have to master your cooking skills, as no one left an underground recipe book for you

At first it will be just you and your pickaxe.As you re-discover lost technologies and get better materials, you’ll be able to build automated production lines. In turn, they will allow you to process more (and better) materials and craft more powerful items!

One of the most mysterious inhabitants of the Inner Earth are Monster Girls. They look similar to humans, but have special abilities and powers. Befriending them will greatly help, but it’s not easy, as they have different personalities and can be moody… pray you never make them angry!
